Singapore PM to visit Malaysia tomorrow

PETALING JAYA: Singapore’s prime minister Lawrence Wong will arrive in Malaysia tomorrow in his first official visit to the country since being appointed to the top post, replacing Lee Hsien Loong.

Wong’s trip is part of a series of introductory visits to Southeast Asian capitals, which will start with Brunei tomorrow, Bernama reported.

He will then fly to Malaysia tomorrow evening to meet Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and other leaders. Wong will be accompanied by his wife, Loo Tze Lui, as well as several members of his Cabinet.

In his absence, deputy prime minister Gan Kim Yong will be the acting prime minister.
