Watch: College baseball game ends with incredible 'ball don't lie' moment
LSU was a 12-11 winner over South Carolina in an SEC baseball tournament game on Saturday evening, erasing what had been at one point an 8-0 deficit.
The Tigers won the game on a two-run, walk-off home run from Steven Milan in the bottom of the 10th inning.
Here is a look at the home run.
A go-ahead, walk-off home run in extra innings is dramatic enough, especially in a semifinal of a conference tournament. But what makes this moment even more spectacular is how LSU ended up trailing going into the bottom of the inning.
In the top of the 10th, South Carolina attempted to steal home in what was at the time a 10-10 game. Parker Noland looked to be out by a mile to end the inning. But after the umpires got together and discussed the play, it was decided that Noland would be ruled safe because the LSU catcher had left the catcher's box too early and was called for interference.
Here is the play.
That was an extremely significant judgment call and it could have completely swung the game in South Carolina's favor. It looked like it might until Milan hit his game-winning home run. For the Tigers, it was the ultimate "ball don't lie" moment and had to feel like some vindication after they felt wronged in the top of the inning.
