'Mrs. Doubtfire' star, who played Robin Williams' daughter, says he was 'everything you would hope’ he’d be

Robin was everything you would hope Robin would be. And that's it. It's so wonderful to think back on him now. I, I, I feel like I really struggled to, to really be able to talk about him because it was so painful after he died that anyone that would ask me and I would just tear up and choke up and that would be the end of it. And. Now I'm able to feel a little bit more healed in order to just feel so grateful that I got to be in his presence, that I got to be working with him, that he was so kind to me. He was so thoughtful and generous and just an incredible soul. And so I think that that is something that in a lot of ways. I try to carry forward, I try to honor all of those things in the work that I do and the life that I, I lead now I, I try to emulate that, that kindness and that generosity of, of spirit. He was probably one of the first people who ever really spoke to me super honestly about mental health. And he would talk to me about his struggles and the things that he went through. And it was the first time that I felt like. Oh, I'm not a freak. I don't have to hide this about myself. This is just something that some of us have to deal with. And so I try to bring that openness to to other people in order to help support them in the ways that that Robin supported me.
