Yellowstone Spinoff 1923 Reveals Big Change for Season 2
Yellowstone's spin-off 1923 is set to make a significant change for its next season. 1923will now be filming in Texas instead of Montana.
According to the Austin Business Journal, Season 2 will begin filming in South Austin. Butte-Silver Bow County in Montana was previously the series' shooting location. 1923 has also been filmed in Malta, Kenya, and South Africa. J.P. Gallagher, the chief executive of the show's former Montana home, discussed the decision.
Dabney Coleman, 9 to 5 and Yellowstone Actor, Dies at 92
Veteran actor Dabney Coleman has passed away at the age of 92.Gallagher stated, "The decision to film the Yellowstoneseries of 1923 in Texas is disappointing. Nevertheless, we respect the production team's decision and acknowledge that these choices are influenced by factors beyond our control. We were in talks with the production about 1923coming back to Butte because of the positive experience they had here, but state tax incentive programs were a major factor for the production to move to Texas."
Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick had previously indicated his desire for Sheridan to relocate all his TV and film production to Texas. Patrick heaped praise on Sheridan, describing him as the best screenwriter of our time, due to his critically acclaimed work on Sicario, Hell or High Water and Yellowstone.
Yellowstone Gets Exciting Update on Final Episodes
The second half of Season 5, which will close out Yellowstone, gets a major update from Paramount.Patrick stated, "On Monday night, I had a great dinner withYellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and gave him a tour of the Senate. He has incredible talent and an amazing success story. He's the best screenwriter of our time and one of the best storytellers ever to make movies. Best yet, he's a Texan and gets Texas. My goal is for Taylor to move all of his TV and movie production to Texas. Working together, I think we can get it done."
Will Kevin Costner Return for the Final Episodes of Yellowstone?
Yellowstone star Kevin Costner appears unlikely to return for the series finale. Fellow Yellowstone actor Ian Bohen has been hyping the finale, calling it the "best finale in history."
Bohen stated, "The fans are going to get the best conclusion that could possibly be written. Everything will land in a way that is perfectly set. A lot of shows just kind of finish... and they don't satisfy you. This will be completed in a way that it will make sense. I don't know that any show has finished this strongly ever, We're expecting to have the best series finale in history. Overconfident maybe, but I think that's what it's going to be. We thank everyone for their patience... It'll be worth the wait, I promise."
1923 Season 2 currently doesn't have a release date.
