Labor’s energy bill relief ‘isn’t really making any difference’

Herald Sun columnist Patrick Carlyon believes the Albanese government’s energy bill relief “isn’t really making any difference”.

Under the Albanese government’s energy bill relief plan, households have received a $300 credit applied to their electricity bills, and about one million small businesses will receive $325 off their bills over 2024-25.

“It doesn’t feel like it’s made any impact,” Mr Carlyon told Sky News host James Macpherson.

“It doesn’t feel like you’re saving any money.

“People don’t have any money to spend anymore and $75 off the energy bill isn’t really making any difference.”
