‘Fantastic opportunity’: Young Australians encouraged to join the ADF

RSL NSW President Mick Bainbridge is encouraging young Australians to consider a career in defence as the ADF looks to bolster its recruitment numbers.

“I spent nearly 15 years in defence and it was a fantastic career,” he told Sky News Australia.

“I recommend it to any young Australian who’s interested in going and learning a trade, or joining the infantry, or learning to fly a plane.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for them to set themselves up.”
