The New South Wales government will ban retail trade on Anzac Day.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Premier Chris Minns will prohibit all trade starting from next year.

The decision follows Prime Minister Anthony Albanese's policy, which allows public servants to swap the national holiday with another date.
