‘Abundantly clear’: Renewables ‘cannot’ supply enough reliable power

Nationals MP Colin Boyce says it is “abundantly clear” solar panel and wind turbines cannot supply enough reliable power to keep industries in Australia running.

This comes as Opposition leader Peter Dutton says he will not quit the Paris Accord or give up on net zero.

It is understood Mr Dutton's recent dismissal of the 2030 climate target was due to the goal being unachievable.

“People are going to have to sit down and understand this: do you want to have a manufacturing and heavy industry base in Australia or do you not?” Mr Boyce said.
